Abubakkar Choudry – Education for Everyone for me has truly been a dream come true. Ever since college, I’ve always been highly involved with volunteering and community service with local organizations. When I finally took the initiative to start my own nonprofit, I wanted it to be focused around education. To me, pursuing post-secondary education and earning a college degree has opened a lot of doors for my family and I. Education has helped me breakthrough economical barriers and I hope providing academic assistance to these children in need does the same for them.
Hamza Choudry – Over the years I’ve donated to causes I believed in thinking that I could make a difference in people’s lives. I joined Education for Everyone because I want to make a direct impact on childrens’ lives who are struggling and looking for mentorship. In Islam, “None of you will believe until you wish for your brother what you wish for yourself.” I want to help these kids get access to quality education the same way that I would want for my own loved ones.
Bilal Ahmed – It gives me great joy when I share my time and my resources to help someone less fortunate than me, so they can pursue their dreams and achieve their goals. I see education as an absolute necessity in this day in age. I believe what we are doing at Education for Everyone will give an opportunity to the children that will put them on the path to success. As Anne Frank said, “No one has ever become poor by giving”, whether it’s knowledge or charity, we will only gain more by sharing with others.
Adnan Qamar – I realized the benefits of helping others from when I was real young, the pleasure my heart received from giving something so small but getting the biggest smile and appreciation in return was like no other. So that practice became a part of my life as I grew up, lending an helping hand wherever and whenever I could. And now I’m embarking another chapter in my journey to helping others. To create hunger for education and to provide the resources and means to feed that hunger. So lastly I would like to leave you with a powerful quote that I had come across a while back “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”
Shawn Islam – Throughout my life, I have always had a passion to helping others. It gives me great satisfaction to know that I am able to provide assistance and comfort to someone in need. I was very fortunate to have received a great education. By going to school, I learned about being compassionate to others and the fundamental principles of life that have shaped me into the man I am today. By God’s grace and with the help of my family and friends I now have a rewarding career. I want to help others achieve their goals just as I have achieved mine. This ambition to help children around the world obtain their rights to education has motivated me to join Education for Everyone. Being able to see these children pursue their dreams would be a great accomplishment for me. It would be the best feeling to know that I was able to make a difference in someone’s life.
Kazi Islam – Education is the single main reason my parents immigrated to USA to give my siblings and I better opportunity. I believe everyone should have equal opportunity to education regardless of their circumstances. I am privileged to be surrounded by friends and family members who have always encouraged me to strive for better possibilities at life. I want to reach out to kids and family members in less opportunistic situation to give them information about importance of education. It’s important to reach out to help seeker and be that light at the end of the tunnel for them. We are not going to live forever but the positive impact we make on others life is paramount. I want to be an example for misfortune kids on how to endeavor successful happy life. I am part of a group, we will assist kids and family in variety ways to excel in education and life.
